New Year, New Focus on Biologicals in National Media

A shared universal desire to improve our health at the beginning of every year leads us to pay special attention to the food we eat after a long season of overindulgence. We find ourselves filling bags with fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods and local meats at the farmer’s market.

An article in the January issue of Successful Farming“Considerations to Integrate Biologicals Into Your Rotation,” cites growers who have adopted biologicals and say they aid in fertilizer uptake, “the key to increased yield.”

In a 2024 survey, 45% of all row crop producers say they purchase or use biological products, an increase of 8 percentage points in two years, according to the article, which goes on to discuss how best to incorporate biologicals into existing crop management plans.
